There are 55 1-hour Internet stations and 8 15-minute Internet stations available in the Computer Center. In addition there are 2 Catalog & Database computers and 1 computer equipped with low-vision software. All 1-hour stations also offer web-based word processing.

Eligible Users

Printing
All stations in the Computer Center are able to print in either black & white or color. The charge to print is 25 cents per page for black & white and 50 cents per page for color. Prints from the LAPL catalog and the computer reservation system are free.
Wireless Access
802.11A and 802.11B wireless access is available to laptop users. Laptops must have DHCP enabled. LAPL Staff cannot assist in setting up personal laptops to work with the wireless access.
Computer Center Guidelines
Limit of one patron per computer.
Patrons must:
- not remove privacy screens;
- not save files on hard drives or C drives;
- not disconnect any computer cables;
- not shut off computers;
- not damage computer equipment or software;
- not engage in harassing or defamatory activity on-line;
- not use terminals for illegal activity.
Violation of these guidelines may result in the loss of computer access.
Unlawful activities will be reported to library security or the Los Angeles Police Department and will be dealt with in an appropriate manner.
